GRoW @ The Wallis Presents Mariachitlán: a Musical Conversation

The orchestral piece "Mariachitlán" led composer Juan Pablo Conteras to connect with two young pianists, sisters Kaitlin and Emily Webster-Zuber. The young women are alumna of GRoW @ The Wallis where they participated in a course called "The Art of the Small Ensemble in Classical Music and Jazz." Wallis Director of Education Mark Slavkin brought them together to explore the piece as arranged for orchestra as well as for piano and consider the role of musicians as citizen artists.
