Did you see the item on José Hernández's Mariachi Nationals in LAist? I don't play enough Mariachi on Los Angeles Music Festival® Network. Just re-added two songs by Maestro Hernández's group Mariachi Sol de Mexico. Mariachi is thriving in part due to mariachi education programs like LA's Mariachi Nationals. For the last several years I've been working on the nation's premiere mariachi education conference, Mariachi Spectacular de Albuquerque. It happens every July and the 2019 event will be the 29th annual. Have a look at the videos above. As you'll see, these groups came ready to play. It's a beautiful thing on so many levels.
